BitANT is the governance token for Bitbtc.money, a platform for splitting BTC that operates on the Ethereum network. This platform has been fully deployed on both the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and the Optimism network, with all code open-source and angel funding secured. There are a total of 10 billion BitANT tokens, minted at genesis, with no tokens held by the team, and community DAO governance in place.
Solving the Pain Points of BTC Payments
Bitbtc.money is a Bitcoin payment system built on Ethereum, where 1 BTC is split into 1 million BitBTC through smart contracts, with a perpetual fixed exchange rate. Beyond BitBTC, BTC is also split into sats, the smallest unit of BTC, effectively covering all avenues for BTC splitting. Plans include expanding to split ETH in the future. Users can make everyday payments using BitBTC, significantly reducing the size of individual payment units for more convenient transactions. The project is already deployed on BSC, Optimism, and Polygon, and will eventually support all EVM-compatible chains.
Token Allocation and Deflationary Mechanism
As the governance token for the BitBTC platform, BitANT has no private sale or allocation. With a total supply of 10 billion, 80% is locked in Uniswap v2, unable to be unlocked before 2029 (the 20th anniversary of Bitcoins release), 15% is used for community ecosystem airdrops, and 5% is allocated for staking mining. To date, over 800 million BitANT tokens have been burned on Ethereum across three chains. Following the cross-chain deployment to BSC in February 2022, a 5% tax was introduced, with all proceeds burned. The tax will only be removed following a community vote once the token is listed on an exchange.
DAO Autonomy
Community voting governs decisions such as the burning of 800 million tokens, which was executed based on a community vote. The official website will launch a voting system in 2022.
Ecosystem Applications
The BitBTC platform already features several practical applications, including red packets, an NFT trading platform, and GameFi. Red packets can be used for ecosystem airdrops and are supported on BSC and Polygon.
