Coin Intro "BTS is the core token of the BitShares Blockchain, possessing both utility and governance rights. BTS can be used for voting, rewards, and paying transaction fees. Previously known as BTSX, BTS was launched on July 19, 2014, with a maximum supply of 3,600,570,502 BTS.
The BitShares Blockchain is an industrial-grade decentralized platform focused on high-performance financial smart contracts. Developed by Daniel Larimer (BM), BitShares is characterized by its ambitious vision, corporate development, high profile, relatively fair distribution, and use of the DPoS core algorithm.
BitShares is an experiment testing the economic theory behind a new type of Prediction Market. This experiment created a decentralized bank and exchange using a decentralized transaction ledger secured by DPoS to generate interchangeable digital assets that can be pegged to the value of anything, like dollars, gold, or gasoline. Like all Decentralized Autonomous Companies (DACs), BitShares X has equity that can be transferred between users much like Bitcoin. What makes BitShares X unique is its implementation of a business model similar to that of a bank or brokerage firm.
In summary, BitShares acts as a polymorphic digital asset, meaning it can evolve into various forms of BitAssets. BitAssets function similarly to Bitcoin but with optimizations and new rules that support the value of BitShares. Individuals or institutions can freely transfer, lend, trade, and issue assets such as cryptocurrencies, company shares, crowdfunding projects, loyalty points, commodity futures, etc., on the platform. They can also quickly build decentralized, low-cost, high-performance cryptocurrency/stock/precious metals exchanges, leveraged futures exchanges, acceptance gateways, and asset management platforms (crowdfunding) based on this platform.
BTS Founding Team:
BitShares is a signature work of Daniel Larimer (BM), who is also the CTO of Steem and creator of EOS. The stable operation of BitShares using DPoS consensus provides valuable reference for many subsequent blockchain projects utilizing DPoS consensus.
The current price of BitShares is $0.0020157, with a 24-hour trading volume of $11.3795 million. BitShares has fallen by 3.4% in the past 24 hours. It currently ranks #181 on BeeCheckers market capitalization list, with its market cap not provided at this time. Its circulating supply is 2,995,060,000 BTS, and its total supply is 3,600,570,000 BTS."

Currency Introduction

BitShares Blockchain is an industrial-grade decentralized platform focused on high-performance financial smart contracts. BitShares (BTS) is the core token of the BitShares Blockchain, endowed with both utility and governance rights. BTS can be used for voting, rewards, and transaction fees.

1. Decentralized Autonomous Company (DAC)

BitShares blockchain implements industrial-grade technology focused on enterprises, organizations, or individuals, featuring a comprehensive ecosystem and a free-market economy. Based on the MIT open-source license Graphene technology, BitShares launched in its current form on October 13, 2015. Since then, the BitShares blockchain and its dApps have been maintained and developed by a team of over 30 highly skilled professionals, elected and overseen by core token holders through consensus.
1. DPoS Consensus
The DPoS algorithm consists of two parts: electing a set of block producers and scheduling production.
The election process ensures that core token holders ultimately retain control, as they stand to lose the most when the network does not run smoothly.
2. Permissions
BitShares blockchain design revolves around account permissions, which are designed to facilitate ease of use with cryptographic keys.
Each account can be controlled by a single or weighted combination of other accounts or keys. This creates a hierarchy that can be constructed to reflect real-life permissions, such as approvals and digital signature processes within companies or organizations.
3. Transactions
Any user interacting with the blockchain does so through authentic and authorized transactions.
Transactions are constructed and sent to the network containing instructions that the user wants to execute. The simplest form is a transfer operation, which includes the sender, receiver, amount, and an optional encrypted memo.
4. Token Factory
Create your own cryptocurrency tokens by publicly representing and listing user-issued assets on the blockchain.
User-issued assets allow entrepreneurs to issue their own tokens. Event tickets, company shares, crowdfunding, loyalty points, and rewards are just some examples. Whitelisting creates fully compliant KYC/AML tokens. Publicly describe, list, and provide liquidity for assets.
5. Scalability
Operations on the BitShares blockchain can extend their functionality to built-in or external dApps.
BitShares has been extensively modularized, with operations implemented independently of each other. BitShares is considered very stable because modifications to the core blockchain require review by the core development team and approval by BTS holders before any network-wide protocol upgrades.
6. Identity
Human-readable account names must be registered alongside public keys in the blockchain before use.
The BitShares blockchain acts as a resolver for names to public keys in a manner similar to traditional Domain Name Services (DNS). Users can easily remember and share their account information rather than error-prone addresses.

2. Features of the BitShares Industrial-Grade Blockchain

1. Processing Speed
Fastest block confirmations. Transactions are written to the blockchain in 3 seconds, averaging less than 1.5 seconds.
2. Lowest Fees
Like other blockchains, BitShares has fees, but they are far below average, with lifetime membership offering up to 80% cashback.
3. Recurring Payments and Scheduled Payments
Supports recurring payments, subscription payments, allowing users to authorize third parties to make withdrawals within certain limits.
4. Dynamic Account Permissions
Enables enterprise-level management, using a weighted combination of approvals from other accounts to control wallets.
5. Self-Sustaining
Supported by a dApps ecosystem that self-funds the core token BTS, ensuring the blockchain covers the cost of perpetual operation.
6. Security
Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) is virtually unhackable, as it would involve compromising many active and backup, global, trusted delegates.
