Boba is an L2 Ethereum expansion and enhancement solution built by the Enya team as core contributors to the OMG Foundation. Boba is the next-generation Ethereum Layer 2 Optimistic Rollup scaling solution, designed to reduce gas fees, increase transaction throughput, and expand the capabilities of smart contracts. Boba offers rapid exits supported by community-driven liquidity pools, reducing the Optimistic Rollup exit period from seven days to just minutes, while providing incentivizing yield farming opportunities for LPs.
Bobas scalable smart contracts will enable developers across the Ethereum ecosystem to build dApps that call code executed on web-scale infrastructure like AWS Lambda, making use of algorithms too expensive or impractical to run on-chain.

BOBA will be used for governance in the Boba DAO, guiding community initiatives and the direction of the network’s future. Each BOBA holder will receive one vote per token they stake on the Boba Network. Token holders will be eligible to submit proposals, vote, and delegate votes on the DAO according to governance guidelines.
