Currency Code CRU
Coin Intro "Crust, abbreviated as CRU, has a total supply of 20 million CRU.
CRUST provides a decentralized storage network for the Web3 ecosystem, supporting multiple storage layer protocols including IPFS, and offering interfaces to the application layer. Crust’s tech stack also supports a decentralized computing layer. Its goal is to build a distributed cloud ecosystem that values data privacy and ownership.
Based on Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology, Crust implements a Meaningful Proof of Work (MPoW) mechanism, making the measurement of meaningful storage quantities simpler and more reliable.
The MPoW mechanism credibly quantifies storage resources, including meaningful storage quantities and available storage supply. The Guaranteed Proof of Stake (GPoS) consensus protocol, which relies on these credibly quantified storage resources as collateral, incentivizes nodes to provide more storage resources while ensuring higher network security.
With a consensus based on storage resource collateral and the Meaningful Proof of Work mechanism, Crust can support quantification and consensus from storage to computation, enabling decentralized ubiquitous cloud services.
Today’s price of CRU is $0.57452, with a 24-hour trading volume of $30.3551 million. CRU has decreased by 13.16% in the last 24 hours. It currently ranks #257 on BeeChecker with a market cap of $8.12291 million USD. Its circulating supply is 14.1385 million CRU, and its issued supply is 31.289 million CRU."

Currency Introduction

Crust provides a decentralized storage network for the Web3 ecosystem, supporting multiple storage layer protocols, including IPFS, and offering storage interfaces to the application layer. Crusts technology stack also supports a decentralized computing layer. The project aims to build a distributed cloud ecosystem that values data privacy and ownership.

Project Introduction

Crust offers a decentralized storage network for the Web3 ecosystem. Developed using Polkadots Substrate technology framework, Crust will operate as a decentralized storage parachain within Polkadot, serving its users. As part of the Web3 Bootcamp and the Substrate Builders Program, Crust has received grants from the Web3 Foundation.

Crust supports various storage layer protocols, such as IPFS and FastDFS. Its Meaningful Proof-of-Work (MPoW) mechanism uses Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) technology to reliably prove nodes storage efforts. Crusts Guaranteed Proof-of-Stake consensus (GPoS) is a PoS consensus with an added guarantee mechanism.

The native token CRU in the Crust network represents the functional token of the entire networks value, similar to ETH in Ethereum or DOT in the Polkadot network. CRU serves the following purposes:

  • Staking to maintain the GPoS consensus in the Crust network
  • Collateral for selected nodes
  • Deposit and commission for contracts providing resource services
  • Transaction fee for using the network
  • Purchasing resource services
  • Voting and governance participation, including voting on proposals within the network
