Content Distribution
The CVN platform features three key roles: content creators, consumers (video viewers, document readers, music listeners, reviewers, and sharers), and distributors (miners). The content distribution process revolves around these roles. Content creators publish content, set prices, and upload their work to the network. Distributors then download the content and propagate it on the blockchain. Interested consumers can purchase the content by paying the corresponding amount of CVN tokens.
Content creators earn tokens from content distribution, while distributors receive tokens from both creators and platform rewards for storing and distributing the content. Consumers can also act as distributors by sharing downloaded content fragments through the DHT network to earn platform rewards.
Content Bounty
P2P downloads often face incomplete downloads due to valuable resources lacking active seeders. Leveraging the decentralized and tamper-proof nature of blockchain, consumers can initiate paid content requests, solving the issue of inaccessible high-quality content.
Content Evaluation
Unlike traditional platforms that rely heavily on paid advertising, CVN leverages the community-driven aspect of blockchain for efficient and organic content promotion.
Content creators can initiate prediction contests on the CVN network by locking a portion of their tokens. They define a timeframe and rules for the contest, such as achieving a specific number of positive reviews and a certain approval rating. The system randomly selects users to participate in anonymous prediction contests. Participants tokens are partially locked, with the losers tokens and a portion of the creators tokens distributed to the winner. This incentivizes participants to promote the content to win tokens, while the collective wisdom of the community ensures fair and accurate content evaluation.
Content Moderation
To prevent the spread of inappropriate content like pornography and violence, CVN incorporates content deposits, content alerts, and a council mechanism. Content creators are required to maintain a token deposit upon publishing their work. Users can report content deemed inappropriate, and upon reaching a predetermined threshold of reports, the platform freezes the creators deposit and the council votes on the contents appropriateness.
Content deemed inappropriate is blocked on the P2P network, making it inaccessible for download. The creators deposit is confiscated and distributed among those who reported the content. Future content published by the creator requires a doubled deposit. Insufficient funds require the creator to settle previous penalties before further publishing.
To discourage malicious reporting, creators and supporters can counter-report with a token deposit. The councils decision determines the outcome: if deemed inappropriate, reporters receive the counter-reporters deposits, and vice versa. The council also receives a portion of the tokens as a reward. Council members are elected by CVN token holders based on their proportionate token holdings.

Content creators can disclose their work progress, allowing consumers to identify and support promising content. Consumers can commit their computing resources, contribute to distribution costs, and provide a security deposit, acting as early investors. They benefit from the contents future popularity, earning greater rewards through contributions and recommendations, fostering a system that incentivizes early support and promotes the discovery of quality content.

Consensus Mechanism
The consensus algorithm is a core mechanism in a blockchain, determining the order of transactions and filtering out invalid ones. Common consensus algorithms include POW, POS, POA, and DPOS.
Traditional Consensus Algorithms and their Limitations
POW (Proof of Work): Relies on computational power to ensure fairness among nodes and effectively resists attacks like Sybil attacks. While POW secures the network by anchoring coin issuance to electricity costs, it suffers from resource waste and low performance, making it unsuitable for CVNs high-performance requirements.
POS (Proof of Stake): Offers higher TPS but relies solely on internal trust, lacking external anchoring and introducing uncontrollable factors.
DPOS (Delegated Proof of Stake): Sacrifices some decentralization to achieve production-level performance.
CVNs Hybrid DPOS Consensus Mechanism
To address CVNs specific needs for security, usability, and high performance, we have chosen a modified DPOS consensus mechanism:
Production Node Selection: A predetermined number of production nodes are selected from candidate nodes.
Block Production: Elected production nodes take turns producing new blocks.
Block Confirmation: Once a new block receives confirmations from more than 2/3 of the production nodes, it is considered irreversible.
In CVN, one of the 33 elected production nodes is authorized to produce a block every 3 seconds, resulting in 33 new blocks per round. If a block is not produced within the allotted time, the next production node takes over.
Enhanced Security and Fault Tolerance
Unlike traditional DPOS, CVN introduces Byzantine Fault Tolerance and a penalty mechanism:
Signature Requirement: All production nodes must sign all blocks, preventing double signing at the same block height.
Confirmation Threshold: A block becomes final and irreversible upon receiving signatures from over 2/3 of production nodes.
Penalty Mechanism: Nodes violating pre-defined rules face penalties.
Stake Locking: To ensure penalty effectiveness and enhance security, candidate nodes must lock a portion of their tokens as collateral, which is forfeited upon rule violation, leading to disqualification.
