Coinone is South Koreas third-largest Bitcoin exchange and the worlds first platform to launch ETH trading against the Korean Won. Founded in February 2014, Coinone is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. Coinones daily trading volume is comparable to the second largest exchange, Korbit. Bithumb remains the largest Bitcoin exchange with approximately 76% of the domestic market share. In addition to operating a cryptocurrency platform, Coinone also runs a blockchain-based remittance service.
On September 11, 2017, Coinone announced the opening of its first and the worlds first physical cryptocurrency exchange, Coinone Blocks, in Seoul. Trading services at the exchange are identical to the online platform. Additionally, the physical exchange provides face-to-face consultation services and sells USB hardware wallets. The exchange is equipped with a Bitcoin ATM, whose display screen shows real-time price fluctuations and allows trading of six major cryptocurrencies (BTC, BCH, ETH, ETC, XPR, and QTUM).
Coinone stated that this initiative is to address the demand for secure transactions and tangible services. Coinone Blocks aims to "create a healthy and transparent data currency ecosystem."
