GHST was launched as a DAICO (DAO-governed token sale), meaning the funds raised are managed by the community. GHST is described as a DeFi-enabled crypto collectibles project, allowing users to collect, compete, and combine their Aavegotchis for a gamified DeFi experience.

GHST is the native ERC-20 utility token in the Aavegotchi ecosystem, with the following use cases:
Payments: GHST serves as the base currency for purchasing various digital assets such as Aavegotchi Portals, wearables, consumables, and collectibles.
Staking: Players need to stake GHST tokens to generate REALM, which represents land in the Aavegotchi realm, demonstrating economic commitment to the ecosystem and preventing malicious behavior.
Governance: GHST will be rewarded to users participating in governance actions within the AavegotchiDAO.

Project Introduction

Based on Aave, Aavegotchi is an ERC-721 non-fungible token (NFT) generated through staking various supported ERC-20 tokens. The Aavegotchi ecosystem introduces features including token staking, dynamic token rarity, rarity farming, and game mechanics governed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).

Aavegotchis have three attributes that determine their overall rarity and value, including:

Spirit Force: Each Aavegotchi NFT manages a custody contract address holding Aave-supported ERC-20 collateral, referred to as Spirit Force, represented collectively by aTokens. aTokens are interest-bearing derivative tokens minted and burned upon depositing and redeeming collateral.
Traits: Aavegotchis can possess multiple traits. These traits influence their rarity, performance in mini-games, and the wearables they can equip. Some traits are randomly generated at birth, while others depend on user interaction with the Aavegotchis.

Wearables: In addition to managing aTokens, Aavegotchis can manage sub-level ERC-721 or ERC-1155 NFT assets known as wearables within the Aavegotchi ecosystem. Some wearables can enhance or diminish certain traits of Aavegotchis.
