"ANT is Aragons platform token, officially known in English as Aragon, also referred to as Aragon Coin (Note: This is not the same as ANTE Coin or Neo, which was originally named ANT but later changed to NEO.). It was issued on May 17, 2017, with a total supply of 39,609,524 ANT.
Aragon is a dApp on the Ethereum blockchain that allows anyone to create and manage any type of organization (companies, open-source projects, NGOs, foundations, hedge funds, etc.) on the blockchain. Aragon is a digitally managed organization controlled by tokens, focused on creating the best conditions for economic growth. Essentially, Aragon is an ecosystem that enables any organization, entrepreneur, and investor to collaborate efficiently and securely without technical vulnerabilities or malicious parties.
The on-chain organizations of the Aragon Network will be built using Aragon Core, consisting of a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) coded in Solidity and a web-based decentralized application (dApp). Initially, Aragon Core will focus on capital-intensive corporate organizations, but its modular functionality is adaptable to other types of organizations.
As Aragons native token, ANT is primarily used for managing the Aragon network and staking the network member protocols.
