Open Reactor introduces a cross-chain solution based on the OC system, enabling users to generate OBTC and OETH on the OnlyChain platform using BTC and ETH. This is achieved through its core component, the OrcVM virtual machine, a distributed multi-party verification platform, along with relay bridges and atomic transactions for cross-chain asset minting, destruction, and exchange. It facilitates the free flow, interaction, and aggregation of assets across different blockchain networks, providing an interoperable layer for the crypto domain where value can move freely. Additionally, it rewards network asset capturers through sustainable long-term incentives, building a comprehensive cross-chain economic ecosystem that aligns with the fundamental principles of the digital asset market.
ORC Token Detailed Functionality
Composite Applications
One function is to pay transaction fees for any orders on the OrcVM. Another function is to pay a deposit to the "Registrar," a smart contract that manages node operators in the ORC ecosystem, ensuring the decentralization and stability of the OrcVM protocol. Anyone can run a Darknode but must stake a certain amount of ORC as a deposit with the "Registrar."
Governance Voting
The ORC token serves as a governance voting tool within the ecosystem and community engagement. Governance features empower ORC token holders to make adjustments to the native protocols of Open Reactor, such as modifications, expansions, setting types and closed models of cross-chain assets, or introducing additional composite applications for ORC tokens. The governance process follows the core governance mechanism of OPEN Open Finance.
Ecosystem Rewards
The decentralized incentive model aims to ensure consistent actions among participants, up-to-date on-chain governance and consensus, and encourages long-term participation. We will implement ORC incentive programs for participants across various platforms based on technological advancements and application achievements. These may include early supporters of the OC ecosystem, community rewards, ORC node operators, the OPEN council, and DAO developer communities.
The overall design goal of the incentive mechanism is to ensure the long-term effectiveness of incentivizing ORC holders, attract more non-arbitrage users to participate and contribute, and help build a more neutral, self-motivated decentralized community.
