Presearch is an open, decentralized search engine that rewards community members with Presearch tokens for using, contributing to, and promoting the platform.
Project Introduction
Presearch is building this open, decentralized search engine. We have clearly pre-established fundamental rules and user expectations, and we will never deviate from our community structure. Presearch is a thorough community-driven movement, similar to Wikipedia. Human curation is a key strategy combined with scalable machine learning methods. The curation and overall development of this platform are incentivized by PRE (Presearch Token), an exchangeable token that rewards participants for their contributions. In beta, it functions more like a search tool than a search engine, allowing users to choose which engine they want to use for their searches from the Presearch interface. Google is the default option, minimizing the switching cost for most users already using Google. Users can also use other engines, including DuckDuckGo, social search engines, domain WHOIS engines, and more.
Presearch funds its operations through a transparent, unobtrusive advertising system that allows advertisers to bid on keywords and sponsor search results. In the first edition, relevant ads appear in the search box and automatically suggest search results. Ads are purchased through auctions using PREs, driving usage within this ecosystem.
About PRE (Presearch Token)
PRE (Presearch Token) is the key medium of exchange in the Presearch ecosystem, used for the following purposes:
1. Rewarding members for using, contributing to, and promoting the platform
2. Buying sponsored and promotional ads
3. Rewarding partners who drive traffic and visibility to Presearch
4. Providing input on community matters
5. Funding community-driven development initiatives
Rewards and Incentives
Members using the Presearch system will be rewarded with tokens. Using Presearch will provide a basic level of rewards, with increased rewards provided by sponsored engines willing to pay more for usage. Sponsor suggestions will match keywords, and members who click on sponsored links and allow sponsors to attempt to fulfill member needs will be rewarded.
Members can also reward other members, particularly those involved in listed development projects. Members will also be incentivized to share the platform with their networks and will be able to earn rewards for new sign-ups. These rewards will be tracked as points convertible into PREs.
In addition to rewarding platform usage, PRE tokens will also be given to data scientists, information curators, interface designers, and those running web crawls and indexing nodes who develop popular Presearch algorithms.
